The Revelation of Jesus Christ is never STATIC. If what we have is truly the REVELATION of Jesus Christ, it is always and forever PROGRESSIVE. Otherwise, it is only opinions, traditions, false narratives and simply ANTI (fill in the blank)
Jesus, our precious Lord invites each of us to follow him. However, in giving that invitation, it never comes to us as coercive but always appealing to our LOVE of Him.
If we decide to follow Him, he will lead us on into vistas of light and glory in heavenly places with love unimaginable that will translate into unceasing rivers of tears as we continually follow Him from faith to faith, from glory to glory in forever increasing divine light.
I’ve often wondered how many were invited to follow him when he was here but never did. Did Jesus nag them or in anyway begged them to follow him? No, he never did. He never looked back at them to see if they were following. He simply moved on, with or without them.
But, what was it that kept so many from following Jesus? Do you suppose it was a pre-formed opinions or interpretation of the Word? Was it from fear or discouragement of the “in crowd?” There were many reasons, I’m sure.
Nevertheless, we are invited to follow him…not to the town square or some popular place here on earth, but follow him spiritually in unceasing unveiling of Him in His Word, world without end. He has given us the Holy Ghost, i.e., the Spirit of Christ, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” for that purpose.
Let us cast off the chains of beloved traditions to follow Jesus in forever evolving divine Revelation of Him which is always DYNAMIC…ever evolving higher and higher, until we stand at last in His presence LIKE HIM. “….we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him.”
Except that we do indeed cast off chains of beloved narratives to follow Jesus, darkness will creep in and grow by degree, until we are left in outer darkness.
We can depend on the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth to lead us ever onward into all Truth from faith to faith, from glory to glory. He, the Spirit of Truth is our divine teacher.
